Three layers, one core
$0 to start. Pay only when you close a job.
The HLP commercial model is one mandatory layer (CPA on close) and two optional add-ons (R&R website refresh + monthly subscription). Every dollar in this section is published in writing — same as our ranking methodology.

Frequently asked
- What's the minimum monthly cost to start?
- $0. The CPA model means we only earn when you do — there's no monthly minimum, no per-lead cost, no upfront fee. The two paid layers (R&R Refresh and Pool Pro Digital) are completely optional.
- How is the 10% / 15% commission collected?
- After a customer and pro complete a job, the pro reports the conversion in the HLP Pro Dashboard (Phase 2). We invoice 10–15% of the job value depending on whether the pro is subscribed to Pool Pro Digital. Phase 1 launch uses self-reporting + light verification; Phase 2 will add tracking number integration.
- Why pay $249/mo if I don't have to?
- Three reasons: (1) the lower 10% CPA rate makes the subscription pay for itself if you close more than ~3 jobs/month at average ticket, (2) AI visibility monitoring catches when ChatGPT/Perplexity start mentioning you (or don't), (3) the Verified badge improves your conversion on the city pages. Most pros break even within 30 days.
- Can subscribed pros pay for higher ranking?
- No. Rule N1 is non-negotiable. Subscribed pros get services that improve their real-world quality signals (better data, faster response tracking, monitoring), and those real signals indirectly raise their organic trust score. The subscription itself doesn't directly affect rank.
- How does HLP differ from Angi $1,400/yr or Yelp $300+/mo?
- Angi and Yelp charge upfront regardless of conversion. Our CPA model means a slow month costs you $0. The R&R Refresh ($499 once) is comparable to one month of Angi's annual fee but you get a website you own forever, not a paid placement that disappears.
- When do I get a Verified badge?
- After (1) license verification (CSLB or equivalent for your trade), (2) insurance verification, (3) phone + website verification. Subscription alone does not earn the badge — that's rule M2. Verification is a one-time process and the badge is permanent until something changes.
- What happens if I cancel?
- You stay on HLP as a non-subscribed pro. Your organic ranking is unaffected (it's based on real quality signals, not subscription status). The R&R website remains yours. Your Verified badge remains until your license/insurance lapses.
